Very late use of interim Jerusalem locals stamps: 15 Sept. 1948 postmarked local JERUSALEM double weight cover addressed to Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Kook (the son of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak HaCohen Kook), franked 15 mils for 10m base letter + 6m extra weight, using 5m and 10m single stamps of the 1st locals series (Ba #101-102) & tied by single strike of JERUSALEM-1 trilingual postmark of the public counter at the head post office - this remarkable as the use of interim local stamps on inner-city mail was being sanctioned by the Jerusalem post office already from early September (though the postage dues not always levied). Here a possible reason why this cover was not taxed is because of the esteemed addressee.
