Haifa head post office interim postmark: tying 10-14 May 1948 period printed matter cover, sent from HAIFA to TEL AVIV, franked 3 mils per base inland postage rate & tied by the HPO's interim postmark commonly said to have been in use only between 10-14 May; locally rerouted with English notation of the Hebrew original; sealed against printed matter regulations (perhaps it was addressed with the envelope upside down, and sealed to keep the contents from falling out) & slit open at top. A scarce postmark.
