British Paquebot seapost in the Mediterranean - possibly from HAIFA: 13 Feb 1935 hand dated picture postcard (Banks of the Nile, Cairo) with sightseeing message, addressed to NEW YORK; evidentally written and posted aboard a British ship, franked 1 1/2d using a British stamp for the surface postcard postage rate & tied by framed, bold PAQUEBOT handstamp of the ship's post office - unlisted in Seymour Bloomfield's postmark sheets of sea post for Egypt and most similar to Sacher's #S2 assigned to HAIFA. Rare maritime mail.
